La Parrilla was founded in Ipswich, Australia by married couple Sebastian Brun and Carolina Gomez back in 2016. Whilst living together in Bogota for over two years current head chef Sebastian fell in love with the art of BBQ in Colombia and South America. They started small with a backyard BBQ and a marquee at their first market in West End Boundary st.
After the market closed down they wanted to go more professional and open a food truck, in 2018 they opened for the first time in Ipswich. La Parrilla food truck became a success and was recognized as one of the premium food trucks in Brisbane and Ipswich serving fresh and delicious food. The amazing support of the Ipswich people gave us the confidence we needed to open a restaurant in Ipswich. Within 2 months after a lot of hard work the La Parrilla restaurant was open in August 2020. Through adversity and hard work Carolina and Sebastian made their dreams come true, but this could not have been done without your help, to the Ipswich, Brisbane, local and Latin community we say thank you so much.
